Complement Register |
This function allows you to set up the complement codes that will be used throughout the System. If you have the appropriate access rights, you will also be able to modify and delete records in this register.
'Complement' refers to the full number of officers and crew required on a vessel. A complement code represents a specific number of crew of a particular rank that is required for a particular vessel type. These complement codes are defined by the company based on typically operated vessel types which form the basis of this code structure. These codes are defined during implementation and consistently built up upon. This then serves as a reference for end users to streamline day-to-day operations.
Complement codes will be used when creating Manning Budgets. You can select to create a budget based on a complement code.

Creating Complement Codes
To create Complement Codes: 1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Administration sub-menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Complement. 2. The complement codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To create a new complement code, click New. 3. The Complement screen will be displayed where you can enter information in the following fields:
Note: To remove an entry from a table, click the '-' icon. 4. Click Save to complete the creation of this new complement code.

Editing Complement Codes
To edit existing complement codes: 1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Home - Administration sub menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Complement. 2. The complement codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To edit an existing complement ode, click on an entry to view its details on the Complement screen. 3. You may then edit the details of the complement code in the available fields. Please note that the main Complement Code field cannot be edited. 4. Click Save to save the changes you have made.

Deleting Complement Codes
To delete existing complement codes: 1. From the HR Manager main menu, click Registers under the Home - Administration sub menu. Then, click Crewing, followed by Complement. 2. The complement codes that have been previously created will be displayed on the screen. To delete an existing complement code, highlight an entry on the screen. 3. Click Delete. Confirm your intention to delete the complement code. The complement code will then no longer be listed on the screen. Note: Alternatively, you can click on a complement code to view its details. Click Delete and confirm your intention to delete the code.
